Job summary

Disability Support Worker role with Community Carers NSW is a local, community‑based position across the Sutherland Shire and St George. You’ll provide person‑centred support to participants in homes and community settings, helping maintain independence and quality of life.

We offer flexible casual hours, shifts Mon–Sun 8am–8pm, and competitive pay of $42 per hour with paid kilometres for approved travel and higher rates for evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in disability support, aged care or related care role.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, National Police Check.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
• Current Australian driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle with appropriate insurance.
• Full working rights in Australia.

About the role

About you

We’re looking for Disability Support Workers who are caring, dependable, professional and passionate about delivering quality support.

Essential requirements:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in disability support, aged care or a related care role
• Experience providing personal care and supporting people with mental health needsStrong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good emotional intelligence and professional boundaries
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Current Working with Children Check
• Current National Police Check
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates
• Current Australian driver’s licence
• Access to a reliable vehicle with appropriate insurance
• Full working rights in Australia

A Certificate III or IV in Disability, Aged Care or a related field is highly desirable. Nursing students are also encouraged to apply.

Experience supporting participants with high support needs, complex behaviours or manual handling requirements will be highly regarded.
