Hand & Home Disability Services in the Sutherland Shire and St George areas is seeking reliable Disability Support Workers to provide 1:1, 1:2 and 1:3 support for clients with complex needs, in home and community settings.

Roles involve weekday, before/after school, overnights, and weekend shifts, with increased hours in school holidays. You’ll help clients develop independence, life skills and meaningful social engagement with close supervision and safety at all times.

Qualifications

• NDIS Worker Screening Check is required.
• WWCC is required.
• Current First Aid & CPR certification.
• Australian driver's licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsabilités

• Provide 1:1 supervision and support for participants with complex needs.
• Deliver 1:1, 1:2 and 1:3 support in SIL, MTA and STA settings.
• Deliver personal care including toileting, hygiene and daily living assistance.
• Administer medications per support plans.
• Implement Behaviour Support Plans and respond to behaviours of concern.
• Support clients to participate in community activities and outings.
• Assist with life skills and structured daily routines.
• Maintain clear communication with families and care teams.
• Complete shift notes and documentation to professional standards.

Hand & Home Disability Services – Sutherland NSW

Hand & Home is seeking reliable, experienced, and confident Disability Support Workers to provide 1:1, 1:2 and 1:3 support to clients living in Sydney’s Sutherland Shire and St George Area. This role is best suited to workers who are comfortable supporting individuals with complex presentations, behaviours of concern, and high supervision needs.

This role requires support workers who are engaged, attentive, and proactive, with the ability to provide close supervision and maintain safe environments at all times.

This role involves weekday, before and after-school hours, active and inactive overnights, and weekend shifts with increased hours available during school holidays and occasional respite care.

You’ll be providing tailored individual support to help clients develop independence, life skills, and meaningful social engagement in both home and community settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 supervision and support for participants with complex needs
• Provide 1:1, 1:2 and 1:3 support for participants in a SIL, MTA and STA setting.
• Deliver personal care, including toileting, hygiene, and daily living assistance
• Administer medication in accordance with support plans
• Implement Behaviour Support Plans and respond appropriately to behaviours of concern
• Support clients to participate in community activities, outings, and social engagement
• Assist with life skills development and structured daily routines
• Maintain clear communication with families and care teams
• Complete shift notes and documentation in line with professional standards

• Experience supporting individuals with Autism (Level 3)
• Experience working with non-verbal participants
• Experience working with Dementia/Alzherimer's
• Experience supporting individuals with behaviours of concern
• Experience working in a SIL home setting
• Ability to provide close supervision and maintain safe environments
• Strong emotional regulation and resilience
• High reliability and professionalism
• Ability to work independently while remaining connected to the support team
• Confidence assisting with learning, life skills, and structured routines
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Working With Children Check (WWCC)
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
• Australian Driver’s Licence
• Own reliable vehicle with Comprehensive Insurance
