Job summary

Melbourne Health & Care Services (MHCS) is seeking compassionate Disability Support Workers to provide one-on-one support to participants living with Autism and complex mental health needs in Lakemba, Campsie, and Greenacre. Shifts run 9:00am–5:00pm with casual and ongoing opportunities.

You will assist with personal care, meals, light housework, transport, and encouraging social participation, while following behaviour support plans and maintaining records. Immediate start.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with Autism and complex mental health needs.
• Ability to work with participants with low and complex support needs.
• Patient, empathetic, and professional approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Female applicants only due to participant requirements.
• Certificate III (or working towards) in Individual Support, Disability, or Community Services.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Reliable motor vehicle and current driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for caring, reliable disability support workers to support participants across Lakemba, Campsie, and Greenacre.

Shifts are available during the day, anywhere between 9:00am and 5:00pm, with flexibility and the chance to pick up additional hours as they become available.
