Job summary

Lifestyle Solutions is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to help customers become more independent at home and in the community. You will mentor, coach daily living skills, and support personal care with compassion.

The role requires a valid driver’s licence, NDIS screening, and current First Aid, with qualifications in Disability or Community Services preferred. Benefits include SCHADS-rate pay and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Must have Drivers Licence and Full Comprehensive Insurance.
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willing to obtain).
• Current First Aid Certificate, HLTAID003.
• Formal qualifications in Disability, Community Services, or similar would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Mentoring and skill development – guiding customers to explore and develop their personal interests/hobbies.
• Coaching independent living skills such as cooking, domestic and social skills.
• Administering medication and adherence to individual support plans.
• Completing clear, concise and factual handover notes and incident reports.
• Providing personal care such as toileting, showering, feeding and dressing when required.
• Helping customers engage with their local communities and culture through access to Community Participation Programs and recreational activities.
• Personal care is a must, and must be comfortable and knowledgeable in doing so.
• Diabetes knowledge or training is ideal.
• Peg feeding knowledge is ideal.
• Community Access will also be a requirement at certain times.

As a Support Worker your responsibilities will include:
