Job summary

Independent Living Disability Services Pty Ltd – Southport QLD is seeking a qualified female Disability Support Worker to assist clients with intellectual disability and incontinence management. You will use person-centred approaches to support daily living, health and community participation.

Required are two years’ experience, a Certificate in Disability or Individual Support, a valid Driver Licence, First Aid + CPR, and access to your own vehicle.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a similar role.
• Must hold a Certificate in Disability or Individual Support.
• Must have a valid drivers licence and a vehicle.

Responsibilities

Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced female Disability Support Worker with proven experience in supporting clients with intellectual disability and incontinence management. Must have fluent English and a car.

Mandatory Requirements

• Australian resident
• Workers Screening Check, Working with Childrens and First Aid + CPR
• Certificate in Disability or Individual Support
• At least two years experience working in a similar role
• Have a vehicle with current comprehensive car insurance
• Australian Licence
• Must have experience with complex behaviours to provide a client-centric support capability
• The ideal person will be experienced in epilepsy management and engaging with participants that have an intellectual disability to build a therapeutic relationship to successfully assist them with a range of disability-related support needs within the home and out in the community.
