Job summary

Cerebral Palsy Alliance is seeking a Disability Support Practitioner at our Allambie Heights campus and St Ives Day Centre in NSW. The role focuses on empowering young people with disabilities to live more independently, build confidence, and participate in meaningful activities.

You will work across locations, supporting clients aged 9–30 with diverse needs, including CP, autism, and other disabilities, in a hands-on, person-centred care environment.

• Willingness to obtain required checks and First Aid/CPR.

Before You Apply - Key Details

• Minimum availability: 3 days per week, Monday–Friday
• Wednesday availability is non-negotiable
• Shift times: 9:30am–3:30pm
• Locations: St Ives Day Centre and our Allambie Heights Campus
• This role will work across both locations, depending on program and client needs.

About the Role: Disability Support Practitioner

At Cerebral Palsy Alliance (CPA), our Disability Support Practitioners do more than provide support—they enhance lives.

In this role, you’ll empower young people with disabilities to live more independently, achieve their goals, and thrive. You’ll be a trusted mentor, supporter, and advocate—helping our clients build confidence, skills, and a sense of belonging.

About The Clients

You will support clients living with a range of disabilities, including Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Down syndrome, intellectual disabilities, and physical disabilities. Some clients may also present with complex needs and behaviours of concern.

About The Lifestyles Youth Program

Working with clients aged 9–30, you’ll be part of our dynamic Youth Program—where no two days are the same.

You’ll Support Young People Through

• School Leaver Employment Support (SLES)
• Social Saturdays & Afternoon Clubs
• Masterclass
• 1:1 or 1:2 support with group work or individualised work
• University, TAFE and work experience

Your role is hands‑on, meaningful, and focused on creating positive, real‑world experiences that help young people step into their future with confidence.

What You’ll Bring

• A genuine commitment to person‑centred care
• Enthusiasm and your own passions
• A current NSW Driver’s Licence (min P2)
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role
• NDIS Worker Screening, WWCC, First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain—we’ll support you!)
