Job summary

The Victorian Government's Office of the Public Advocate is seeking a team leader investigations to drive complex inquiries and protect the rights of people with disability. You will lead an investigations team, shape thorough reports, and support tribunal and court outcomes.

You will manage complex and urgent investigations, supervise staff, guide accurate reporting, and use data to improve practice while ensuring legal duties and records requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Substantial, recent experience in complex investigations with planning and interviews.
• Strong knowledge of disability and relevant laws in Victoria (NDIS, mental health, aged care).
• Staff management experience and ability to coach, set priorities and manage workloads.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations team and oversee complex and urgent investigations.
• Oversee investigations and guide staff to prepare accurate reports for tribunal and courts.
• Provide supportive leadership, coach staff and review their performance.
• Use data to share work fairly, track progress and resolve problems.
• Improve work practices and help your team meet legal duties and records requirements.
