• Demonstrated expertise in curriculum and the ability to lead school priorities across literacy and numeracy.
• Ability to plan and implement high‑impact teaching strategies and evaluate learning impact.
• Monitor student learning data and lead improvement initiatives at class/cohort level.
• Exemplary interpersonal and leadership skills to engage students, staff and families.
• Model Department values and lead whole‑school professional learning.
• Capable of implementing Disability Inclusion Fund initiatives and improving provision for students with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage whole‑school improvement initiatives aligned with the strategic plan.
• Oversee curriculum planning and delivery improvements.
• Provide professional development and develop staff development plans.
• Lead staff performance reviews and development.
• Deliver teaching demonstration lessons to staff.
• Develop and implement assessment and reporting policies.
• Oversee student welfare, discipline and safeguarding policies.
• Contribute to curriculum development in major learning areas.
• Support policy development for teaching and learning across the school.
• Contribute to school council proposals and policy development.
