Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to lead school priorities across literacy and numeracy.
• Ability to plan and implement high impact teaching strategies and evaluate student growth.
• Skill in monitoring and using data to drive school improvement and feedback to students/parents.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills for working with students, staff and families.
• Commitment to Department values and contributing to whole-school professional learning.
• Capacity to lead Disability Inclusion initiatives and collaborate with families and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead Disability Inclusion within the school and promote its elements.
• Coordinate Disability Inclusion profile meetings and ensure required information is gathered.
• Support staff and the SSG in preparing information for DIP meetings.
• Liaise with Student Support Services to coordinate needed actions.
• Advise on IEP development and ensure quality targets and student voice in learning.
• Build staff capacity to deliver inclusive practices and transitions between services.
• Advocate for students with disability and ensure effective transfer of information.
• Prioritise resources to meet the needs of students with disability.
