Job summary

Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service invites applications for the role of Director, Cairns Hospital Redevelopment Stage 1B. You will drive delivery of a >$1B hospital infrastructure program, partnering with HIQ to oversee planning, design, construction, commissioning and operational integration, including the Health Innovation & Surgical Centre and related facilities.

Lead governance, risk management, and workforce readiness, ensuring safe service commencement and sustainable models

Responsibilities

Be accountable and lead end-to-end operational commissioning and service integration, including clinical service transition, workforce readiness, models of care translation, workflow redesign, digital integration, change management, and 'go-live' planning to enable safe, efficient service commencement.
Establish and maintain robust governance, risk, and assurance frameworks, including identification, escalation, and mitigation of clinical, operational, financial, and delivery risks.
Provide oversight of financial performance, including budget alignment, cost pressures, and value optimisation to ensure delivery of agreed outcomes within approved funding parameters, while supporting the development of robust investment cases for future stages of the Cairns Hospital Master Plan, including the strategy and timing of supporting infrastructure and property acquisitions.
