Department of Customer Service in NSW seeks a technology executive to lead a broad portfolio of platforms, cloud, data, APIs, and reliability. You will shape large-scale technology investments and oversee a cross-disciplinary team delivering essential digital services to NSW residents and businesses.
The role emphasizes platform-as-product thinking, improving engineering experience, and ensuring security, resilience and cost discipline across a complex tech environment. Hybrid work is available.
Reporting to the Chief Digital Officer, you will lead the technology platforms and shared services that underpin digital service delivery across Service NSW. The portfolio spans cloud and container platforms, APIs and integration, data and analytics, service-delivery platforms, platform architecture, site reliability, incident management and integrated technology operations.
This is not a traditional infrastructure or technology-governance role. Your mandate is to bring a broad portfolio of platforms, tools and services together as a coherent platform-product and engineering organisation. You will make supported technology choices easier for teams to adopt, improve the engineering experience and strengthen reliability, security, interoperability and cost discipline.
Leading approximately 10 direct reports and a portfolio of around 90 people, this will suit a leader who can combine strategic thinking, technical expertise and people leadership while supporting critical customer-facing services and building capability across a complex and modern technology environment.
