Job summary

NSW Health is seeking a Health Manager Level 6 to lead the central Workforce Planning function, shaping how workforce planning is undertaken across NSW Health. This ongoing, full-time role offers the opportunity to influence policy and drive evidence-based planning across a large system.

• Deep expertise in workforce optimisation, skill mix and redesign.
• Track record establishing governance and capability for decision making.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement with executives to drive priorities.
• Strong strategic leadership to translate initiatives into scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead NSW Health's central Workforce Planning function with strategic direction.
• Establish and improve workforce planning frameworks and tools.
• Provide expert advice on workforce strategy, optimisation, skill mix and redesign opportunities.
• Lead a team of workforce planning specialists and build capability across NSW Health.
• Partner with Health Agencies and executives to align local priorities with statewide needs.
• Identify emerging workforce risks and translate into practical workforce strategies.
• Assure the quality and consistency of workforce plans and workforce strategies.
• Identify, evaluate and scale workforce initiatives delivering sustainable outcomes.
• Lead statewide projects including governance and establishment management.
