Job summary

NSW Health is seeking a talented Program Management Officer to support the Workforce Planning and Talent Development Branch in a temporary full-time capacity. Based at 1 Reserve Road, St Leonards NSW, you will help monitor and evaluate programs, prepare high-quality briefs, and coordinate branch-wide activities to support senior leaders.

This role focuses on analyzing performance, identifying risks, and delivering concise insights to inform decision-making.

Qualifications

• Experience monitoring and evaluating progress to inform practical insights and recommendations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex information into practical advice and actions.
• Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work within deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Supporting program monitoring and evaluation, performance and progress reporting.
• Coordinate the executive correspondence function for the branch, including allocating, tracking and reporting on efficiency and responsiveness of the Branch
• Reviewing and editing briefs, correspondence, reports and other project documentation to ensure accuracy and quality prior to progressing to the Executive Director to support decision-making.
• Monitor project progress, risks and dependencies, proactively identifying and addressing emerging issues.
• Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to identify needs, resolve issues and support delivery.
• Contribute to business planning and continuous improvement to ensure activities remain aligned with strategic priorities.
