Job summary

Queensland Health is seeking a Nurse Manager – Workforce Planning & Management to lead workforce development within Metro North Health. You will coordinate workforce resources, support contemporary recruitment, and align business practices with organizational values.

The role requires strategic leadership in workforce planning and collaboration with Nursing and Midwifery Directors to optimise service delivery and patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership within a professional and ethical framework to ensure consumer-centred care and staff management practices.
  • Collaborate in the planning and evaluation of human, material, and financial resources for the interprofessional environment.
  • Accountable for promoting effective and cost-efficient management of hospital resources and services in collaboration with Nursing and Midwifery leadership.

About the role

An exciting opportunity is available for a Nurse Manager – Workforce Planning & Management to join Workforce Development and Education. In this influential role, you will provide advanced leadership and coordination of workforce resources while supporting contemporary recruitment, workforce planning and business practices.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Provide leadership within a legal, professional, and ethical framework that ensures contemporary consumer/person centred care and staff management practices.
  • Collaborate in the application and evaluation of contemporary human, material, and financial resource management for the interprofessional environment.
  • Accountable for promoting effective and cost-efficient management of hospital resources and services in collaboration with the Nursing and Midwifery Director, Education.
