Job summary

Optus is seeking a Director of Sales Enablement to define and execute enablement strategy across Enterprise & Business. You will lead initiatives to strengthen go-to-market effectiveness, onboard and develop capability, and improve compliance and operational discipline across sales teams.

You will partner with leaders to embed best-practice methodologies, coaching and tools that drive customer outcomes and sustainable growth for a large B2B organisation in Australia.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of professional experience in Sales Enablement, Sales Excellence or Go-to-Market in complex B2B environments.
  • Proven track record embedding sales methodologies and enablement programs leading to revenue growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Enterprise & Business Sales Enablement strategy to boost capability, productivity and commercial performance.
  • Partner with Sales, Product, Go-to-Market and Marketing to embed best-practice methodologies and enablement programs.
  • Develop onboarding, learning and coaching initiatives across sales, pre-sales and leadership teams.
  • Govern sales content, communications, tools and knowledge resources for accurate, relevant information.
  • Drive sales process optimisation, systems adoption and governance for end-to-end quote-to-order.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing enablement team using data-driven impact insights.

The Director, Sales Enablement is a strategic leadership role responsible for defining and executing the enablement strategy across Enterprise & Business. Working in partnership with Sales, Product, Go-To-Market and Marketing teams, the role drives sales capability, productivity and commercial performance through the delivery of effective sales methodologies, value propositions, tools, content and governance frameworks. As a key member of the Sales Operations leadership team, the Director leads initiatives that strengthen go-to-market effectiveness, accelerate onboarding and capability development, improve compliance and operational discipline, and empower sales teams to deliver differentiated customer outcomes and sustainable business growth.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and execute the Enterprise & Business Sales Enablement strategy, driving sales capability, productivity, customer outcomes and commercial performance.
  • Partner with Sales, Product, Go-to-Market and Marketing leaders to embed best-practice sales methodologies, value propositions and enablement programs.
  • Develop and deliver onboarding, continuous learning and coaching initiatives that build capability across sales, pre-sales and leadership teams.
  • Oversee the creation and governance of sales content, communications, tools and knowledge resources, ensuring teams have access to accurate and relevant information.
  • Drive sales process optimisation, systems adoption and operational excellence, improving compliance, efficiency and the end-to-end quote-to-order experience.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing enablement team, using data-driven insights to measure impact, influence stakeholders and support business growth.
What You Bring
  • 10+ years of professional experience, with demonstrated success leading Sales Enablement, Sales Excellence, Commercial Capability or Go-to-Market functions within complex B2B organisations.
  • Deep expertise in developing and embedding sales methodologies, enablement programs and capability frameworks that deliver measurable improvements in customer outcomes, revenue growth and sales effectiveness.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to partner credibly with senior executives and align cross-functional teams around strategic priorities.
  • Strong commercial and strategic acumen, translating market trends, customer needs and complex product portfolios into clear, differentiated value propositions and go-to-market strategies.
  • Experience leading business transformation, operational excellence and change initiatives, including sales process optimisation, systems adoption, governance and compliance uplift.
  • Outstanding people leadership and coaching capability, with a demonstrated ability to build, develop and inspire high-performing teams in telecommunications, technology or other complex B2B environments.
