Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking a strategic leader to drive placemaking and vibrancy initiatives across NSW. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, partnering with councils, businesses and communities to deliver high-profile programs that transform public spaces and transport centres.

You will oversee grants, manage partnerships and guide policy and program delivery, reporting to senior executives and Ministers. Flexible work options may be available; Applications close as indicated.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering complex programs, partnerships and place-based initiatives in government, planning, urban design, community development or related environments.
• Ability to influence senior decision-makers and translate complex issues into clear recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary team of ~20 people and report to Directors/Senior Executives.
• Oversee placemaking, revitalisation and vibrancy initiatives across NSW.
• Drive the Community Improvement Districts program with councils and local communities.
• Manage strategic grant funding and investment programs for place-based outcomes.
• Champion the Permit/Plug/Play program to enable street-based events and activations.
• Lead revitalisation and activation of Transport-owned assets and spaces.
• Build partnerships across government, councils, industry and communities to deliver outcomes.
