Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking a Director Place Partnerships and Governance for a temporary up to 11-month opportunity in Sydney. You will lead and integrate cross-government placemaking initiatives, drive vibrant public spaces, and manage partnerships with councils, businesses and communities to deliver place-based outcomes.

You will oversee grants and investments, champion street-event programs, and provide strategic leadership to a multidisciplinary team while engaging Ministers and senior

Qualifications

• Strategic leadership and collaborative approach to complex programs.
• Strong stakeholder engagement across government, councils and industry.
• Experience advising senior executives and ministers on policy and programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of placemaking and activation initiatives across NSW.
• Oversee grant funding and investment programs for place-based outcomes.
• Champion the Permit/Plug/Play program to enable street events and activations.
• Provide strategic leadership to a multidisciplinary team (~20 people).
• Build partnerships across government, local councils, business and communities.
