Job summary

Austin Health in Heidelberg, Melbourne, is seeking a Director to lead the Consumer Lived Experience Workforce within the Mental Health Division. This full-time, fixed-term role focuses on embedding lived experience at governance, operations and workforce development across the division.

You will work with the executive team, engage a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, and champion consumer leadership at every level.

Qualifications

• Direct lived experience as a consumer of mental health services.
• Experience in leadership roles within mental health systems.
• Strong strategic planning and governance capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop the lived experience voice across Mental Health Division activities, including governance, operations, workforce development, recruitment, quality and evaluation.
• Collaborate with the MHD executive team to centre lived experience in reforms.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to advance consumer leadership.
