Job summary

Villanova College in Coorparoo, Brisbane, is seeking a Director of Digital Learning to commence in 2027. The role leads contemporary uses of technology across Years 5–12, placing digital learning at the centre of learning design and strategy.

You will oversee the College Digital Learning Strategy, Schoolbox LMS, AI leadership, staff digital capability and the evaluation of emerging technologies, working with the ICT team and college leadership.

Qualifications

• Leadership in digital learning, education technology and innovation.
• Ability to implement and use digital learning platforms (i.e., Schoolbox).
• Support and develop staff and student capability in responsible use of technology.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation and review of the College Digital Learning Strategy.
• Guide the ongoing implementation and refinement of myVilla (Schoolbox), including course design, communication, assessment workflows and resource organisation.
• Provide strategic leadership for the responsible, ethical and effective use of AI across teaching, learning, assessment and professional practice.
• Develop and communicate College guidance, expectations and governance for staff and student AI use.
• Strengthen academic integrity in digital and AI-enabled contexts, including assessment expectations.
• Support Heads of Faculty and teachers to design blended learning and digital assessment that integrate digital and face-to-face experiences.
• Build staff capability in digital pedagogy through professional learning, mentoring and support.
• Explore, pilot and evaluate emerging technologies, including AI, AR/VR, immersive tools and learning analytics, with ICT Team.
• Maintain currency in digital learning practice through partner schools, higher education, industry and external bodies.
