Box Hill Institute in Melbourne seeks a forward-thinking Director of Teaching Development and Innovation to lead educator development, learning design and educational technology. You will drive blended and online learning, oversee StudentWeb, and evaluate emerging technologies including generative AI to improve delivery.

You will strengthen educator capability, build partnerships, and lead a high-performing team while aligning technology roadmaps with strategic goals and regulatory requirements.

Formación

• Master’s Degree in Education or equivalent qualification.
• Substantial leadership experience across educational sectors including VET, secondary, and higher education.
• Advanced knowledge of Learning Management Systems, particularly Moodle-based platforms.
• Demonstrated expertise in AI technologies relevant to education, including OpenAI and Microsoft Power Apps.
• Experience in AI-driven curriculum design and development.
• Proven ability to develop and implement technology roadmaps aligned with educational and operational goals.
• Strong interpersonal, conflict management, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated success in leading and motivating teams to achieve strategic objectives.
• Ability to foster creativity and innovation as a strategic advantage.
• Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities, with a focus on customer-centric solutions.
• Commitment to teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Have, or be willing to obtain, Victorian Working with Children Check and National Police Check clearance.

Responsabilidades

• Lead educator development, learning design, educational technology, product development and StudentWeb to enhance teaching and learning.
• Drive best-practice approaches to blended and online learning and oversee the digital learning environment.
• Assess emerging technologies, including generative AI, and translate opportunities into practical education delivery.
• Strengthen educator capability through high-quality professional development and resources.
• Build internal and external partnerships, promote scholarship and knowledge sharing, and support teaching awards and grants.
• Lead the Institute’s involvement in government initiatives and empower a high-performing team.
