Job summary

Pacific Life is seeking an Actuary & Director to lead the Life Pricing team, directing product pricing and development initiatives. You will collaborate across Pricing, Product Development, Risk Management, Modeling, and Sales within the Consumer Market Division and the enterprise.

Qualifications

• FSA with 10+ years of related experience in actuarial pricing and product development.
• Direct experience developing life insurance products.
• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.
• Strong management, team-building, and communication skills.
• Excellent project management and business partnering abilities.
• Proven leadership with a strong sense of urgency.
• Ability to understand the big picture and mobilize initiatives in ambiguous situations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a pricing team; oversee product pricing activities and perform pricing analyses.
• Lead product pricing, support product implementation, and deliver on project plans.
• Stay current with regulatory changes and pricing/risk management developments.
• Ensure pricing adheres to guidelines and governance; secure approvals.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, risk and operations to balance competitiveness and profitability.
• Grow talent and provide development support to the team.
