Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Project Manager to step into a director-level role within the NSW Water Infrastructure team, based in Sydney or Newcastle. You will partner with clients and lead complex water projects across the full life cycle.

You will manage multidisciplinary teams, coordinate design, tendering, contracts, and risk, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across diverse sectors. Hybrid work options apply, and you will contribute to shaping sustainable water solutions for

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in project management with real-world impact.
• Tertiary qualification in a related discipline.
• Water & wastewater industry experience preferred.
• Client-side experience across sectors; stakeholder & priority management.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship skills; consulting/construction exposure valued.

Responsibilities

• Support our clients and manage relationships with consultants, contractors and subcontractors.
• Deliver complex projects and programs ensuring they meet client expectations, timelines, and specifications.
• Manage change, quality, health, safety and risk elements.
• Oversee multiple concurrent projects across the entire life cycle, including design management, tendering, contract administration, financial management, project scheduling and risk management.
• Coordination of multidisciplinary teams - coordinating specialists to deliver high-impact results.
