Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Project Manager stepping into a director-level role for the NSW Water Infrastructure team, based in Sydney or Newcastle. You will partner with clients, manage consultants and contractors, and drive complex projects from design to delivery.

In this senior role, you will oversee multiple projects, coordinate cross-disciplinary teams, and apply strong communication and risk management skills to deliver outcomes that meet client expectations and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in project management with real-world impact.
• Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline.
• Experience in water & wastewater industry preferred.
• Proven client-side experience across multiple sectors and complex environments.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Support clients and manage relationships with consultants, contractors and subcontractors.
• Deliver complex projects and programs to meet timelines and specifications.
• Oversee change, quality, health, safety and risk elements.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-impact results across project life cycles.
