Job summary

ACT Government in Canberra is seeking a Director, Risk and Assurance to lead strategic risk and assurance activities across a complex portfolio of major infrastructure projects, including light rail, roads, and sport and recreation. You will provide trusted advice that supports decision-making, governance, and successful project delivery.

• Experience leading risk and assurance frameworks across large-scale infrastructure programs.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive governance best practices.
• Strong analytical thinking and decision-making in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic risk and assurance activities across a portfolio of major infrastructure projects.
• Provide trusted risk advice to enable informed decision-making and successful delivery.
• Oversee risk reporting, assurance reviews and governance processes across the program.
• Identify emerging risks, monitor systemic issues and coordinate mitigation actions.
