Talentweb | B Corp seeks an experienced Corporate & Institutional Banker to help build out the Financial Institutions business for a well established global wholesale bank, based in their Sydney branch. You will own origination, transaction execution and portfolio management end-to-end.

You will originate new relationships with Banks, NBFIs and sovereign clients, structure transactions within risk appetite, and collaborate with Treasury, Credit and Risk teams to set standards and framework.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience in an origination / coverage role in Corporate Banking, Financial Institutions Group (FIG) in Australia.
  • Strong track record in client origination and transaction execution in the Australian market.
  • Knowledge of expertise of credit analysis and structuring.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to balance growth and risks.
  • Experience working in cross-cultural banking environments is highly regarded.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and resourceful Corporate & Institutional Banker to help build out the Financial Institutions business for a well established global wholesale bank, based in their Sydney branch. This is a pivotal hire for the bank – tasked to set up the structure and framework, take end-to-end ownership of origination, transaction execution and portfolio management for the division.

Working closely with the Head of Financial Institutions, the successful candidate will confidently originate and manage a broad range of transactions and products, develop relationships with key Australian financial institutions, and contribute to the long-term growth and success of the division.

New business origination will be a key part of the role and will be at least as important as maintaining existing portfolio. The successful candidate will bring an established network of Financial Institution relationships and a proven ability to originate new client relationships and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
