Are you an experienced manager with a background in economics, regulation or public policy? This is an opportunity to lead a talented team and shape advice on some of the ACT Government’s most significant economic and regulatory priorities.
The Economic and Regulatory Policy Unit within ACT Treasury is seeking a collaborative and outcomes-focused Director to lead a small team of skilled economists and policy officers. You will provide clear direction, support staff development and foster a positive, high-performing team culture.
Working with the Senior Director, you will lead complex policy projects and deliver rigorous, practical advice to support government decision-making. You will collaborate across the ACT Government and with other Australian governments, manage competing priorities and build productive relationships with senior stakeholders. Your work will include leading advice on national productivity reforms and contributing to major initiatives in areas such as climate change, energy reform, utility pricing and regulatory policy.
We are looking for a leader who can apply strong economic, regulatory or public policy judgement; communicate complex issues clearly; develop people; and translate evidence into influential advice and deliverable outcomes.
