Job summary

The Creche and Kindergarten Association (C&K) seeks a Director for the Birkdale South Childcare Centre in Queensland. You will lead a 65-place service, guide educators, and strengthen community connections, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for children and families.

Qualifications

• ACECQA approved Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
• National Child Safety Training – Foundation Certificate required.
• First Aid, CPR and Asthma & Anaphylaxis certification required.
• Blue Card or Exemption Card required.
• Current Police Check required.
• Knowledge of NQF, EYLF and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guide preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the service with authentic, supportive management and create a positive team culture.
• Support educators to grow professionally and champion inclusive practices.
• Foster belonging across the service and wider community.
• Ensure compliance with child safety policies and regulatory standards.

As the highly respected Director of C&K Birkdale South, you'll lead a welcoming and supportive environment where children, families and educators feel connected, valued and inspired to thrive. Located alongside Birkdale South State School, this 4-room, 65-place service offers unique opportunities to build meaningful community connections ensuring every child, family and team member is supported to learn, contribute and flourish.

• 12-month fixed-term contract
• Fulll-time: 40 hours per week with a monthly RDO
• Centre Operational Hours: 6:30am to 6:30pm

What you’ll bring

We strongly uphold our child safety policies and procedures. To thrive and succeed in this role, you will have:

• An ACECQA approved Bachelor's Degree of Early Childhood Education or equivalent
• Experienced Nominated Supervisor highly desirable
• Completion of the National Child Safety Training – Foundation Certificate
• First Aid, CPR and Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification.
• Valid Blue Card or Exemption Card.
• Current Police Check
• Knowledge of the National Quality Framework and Standards and the Early Years Learning Framework and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guide.
