Kids Discovery Early Learning and Child Care – Prestons NSW is seeking a dedicated Room Leader with a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care to provide a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children in our care.

You will lead the daily program, mentor your team, build strong family partnerships, and ensure high standards in line with EYLF and NQS, while fostering a warm, inclusive setting with above award wages and a supportive management team.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care required.
• Current First Aid Certificate.
• Working With Children Check current.
• Mandatory Geccko Training completed.
• Knowledge of EYLF & NQF and ability to implement in the program.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• At least 1+ years experience in early childhood setting preferred.
• Above Award Wage and supportive management.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Room Leader with Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, stimulating, and educational environment for children in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the daily program in your room and create a warm, safe, play-based environment where every child feels a sense of belonging
• Plan, document and critically reflect on learning in line with the EYLF V2.0 and the NQS
• Mentor and guide your team, setting the tone for teamwork, respect and high standards
• Build genuine partnerships with families through daily connection, feedback and shared goals for their child
• Provide a safe and supportive environment for children
• Observe and document children's development
• Maintain a clean and organized environment

Requirements:

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Working with Children Check
• Mandatory Geccko Training
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of EYLF & NQF with the ability to implement these into the Centre's educational program
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• At least 1+ years experience within an early childhood education setting preferred
