Job summary

Learn and Laugh Children's Centre in Randwick NSW is seeking a dedicated early childhood educator for a full-time role with 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, at our purpose-built centre serving up to 55 children daily.

You will work with preschoolers aged 3-5 years and receive strong support through professional development opportunities to enhance your practice and outcomes for children.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Services (ACECQA approved) is required or you are studying towards it.
• First aid / CPR / Asthma and Anaphylaxis training and current certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a quality program that reflects the EYLF.
• Develop open communication with educators, children and families.
• Use progressive routines throughout the day and implement indoor and outdoor programs to respond to the needs of individual children.
• Create indoor and outdoor learning environments that provide the children with opportunities to explore, experiment, create, take risks and play.
• Facilitate children's play through weaving the children's emerging interests with professional expertise.
• Communicate positively and openly with children on an ongoing basis.
• Provide physical care, assisting children in daily routines and mealtimes.
• Conduct observation and evaluation of children's development.
• Maintain up-to-date records for each child within the group.
• Respond to the emotional needs of the children.
