Job summary

Georges River Council is seeking an Early Childhood Educator (Diploma) to join the Oatley West Early Learning Centre. You will contribute to high-quality education and care, planning engaging programs and building strong relationships with children and families.

In this role you will collaborate with the Centre team, mentor staff, and undertake Responsible Person duties as required, supporting continuous improvement and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or ACECQA-approved equivalent.
• Current Working with Children Check.
• HLTAID012 First Aid and HLTAID009 CPR certifications.
• NSW Food Handling Certification.
• NSW approved Child Protection Training Certificate.
• Knowledge of child protection, health and safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• All mandatory certifications must have a minimum of six months remaining until expiry.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver educational programs that support children's learning, development and wellbeing.
• Observe, document and monitor children's progress and developmental outcomes.
• Build positive partnerships with children, families and the broader community.
• Promote inclusive practices that support the diverse needs of all children.
• Maintain safe, hygienic and stimulating learning environments.
• Support and mentor educators, students and volunteers within a collaborative team environment.
• Undertake Responsible Person duties when required.
