Job summary

Westmead Fertility Centre seeks a Digital Transformation Leader to shape its technology landscape. You will partner with the CEO and leadership team to modernise systems, enhance patient and staff experiences, and strengthen data capabilities across the organisation.

This role focuses on replacing a legacy clinical platform and leading enterprise-wide technology transformation in a highly regulated healthcare setting.

Qualifications

About the Role

As Digital Transformation Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Westmead Fertility Centre's technology landscape. Working closely with the CEO, CFOO, Leadership Team and external technology partners, you will lead the delivery of a strategic enterprise-wide transformation program designed to modernise systems, enhance patient and staff experiences, strengthen data capabilities and support the organisation's long-term growth.

A key focus of the role will be leading the replacement of a legacy clinical platform. This transformation will impact every aspect of the organisation, from patient engagement and clinical workflows through to reporting, governance, cybersecurity and operational performance.

More than a technology implementation, this is a leadership role at the intersection of strategy, digital innovation, organisational change and healthcare operations. You will provide leadership across platform selection and implementation, stakeholder engagement, change management, governance and capability development, ensuring new technologies are successfully adopted and embedded across the organisation.

Operating within a highly regulated healthcare environment, you will balance innovation with patient safety, privacy, cybersecurity and operational continuity, helping ensure Westmead Fertility Centre remains at the forefront of accessible, high-quality fertility care.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of Westmead Fertility Centre's enterprise-wide digital transformation program.
• Provide strategic leadership and advice on digital transformation, technology strategy and digital capability development.
• Oversee the selection, implementation and adoption of new digital platforms and technologies.
• Lead organisational change management activities to support workforce engagement, readiness and adoption.
• Ensure data quality, privacy, security and governance requirements are maintained throughout transformation initiatives.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, technology partners and external service providers.
• Establish robust governance, risk management and reporting frameworks to support successful project delivery.
• Enhance organisational reporting, analytics and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency, patient experience and organisational performance through technology and innovation.
• Build sustainable digital governance, vendor management and operational capability frameworks.
• Promote a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, accountability and service excellence.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking an experienced Digital Transformation Leader who thrives in complex environments and can successfully balance strategy, technology, people and change.

You will bring:

• Proven experience leading digital transformation programs from planning through to successful implementation and adoption.
• Demonstrated success delivering enterprise technology platforms and complex system implementation projects.
• Strong organisational change management experience, with the ability to engage stakeholders and drive workforce adoption.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with a track record of building trusted relationships across executive, operational and technical teams.
• Strong program governance, project delivery and risk management capabilities.
• Experience working within healthcare or other highly regulated environments where privacy, compliance and information security are critical.
• Experience managing technology vendors, implementation partners and external service providers.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes.
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and a passion for innovation, continuous improvement and delivering meaningful organisational impact.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Digital Transformation, Business, Project Management or a related discipline.

This contract opportunity is offered on a fractional basis of approximately three days per week, with flexibility to increase involvement during peak phases of the transformation program.
