Big Wave Digital is hiring a Digital Marketing Specialist near Chatswood, Sydney. This role is hands-on, focusing on performance, growth and MarTech in a fast-growing Australian SaaS company.

You will own paid media campaigns, CRO, CRM data usage, and lifecycle marketing with a strong data-driven approach. We require 4+ years in digital marketing, preferably from an agency, and the ability to turn data into practical actions.

We’re recruiting a Digital Marketing Specialist for a fast growing Australian SaaS technology business based near Chatswood.

This is a genuinely hands on, executional digital role. You’ll be inside the platforms, building campaigns, analysing performance, testing audiences, improving landing pages, working with CRM data and figuring out how to turn more digital activity into customers.

The one non-negotiable

You must come from a digital or performance marketing agency background. You might currently be a Senior Performance Executive, Digital Performance Manager, Paid Media Manager or Digital Marketing Specialist who has spent the last few years managing multiple accounts and is ready to take everything you’ve learned agency side into one growing technology business.

What you’ll actually be doing

Build, launch and optimise performance campaigns across Google Ads, Meta and other paid digital channels

Own day to day paid media execution, optimisation, testing and reporting

Analyse campaign performance and turn the data into practical actions

Develop audiences, segmentation and remarketing strategies

Work on landing pages, conversion paths and CRO

Track leads from campaign through to conversion

Help improve the connection between marketing and sales

Build and optimise email campaigns, nurture programs and automated customer journeys

Work with CRM data to improve targeting, personalisation and lifecycle marketing

Maintain digital tracking, attribution and measurement

Build dashboards and reporting that people can actually use

Test creative, channels, audiences, messaging and customer journeys

Identify opportunities to use automation and AI to make marketing smarter and more efficient

Your MarTech toolkit

You don’t need to have used every platform on the planet, but you should be comfortable working across a modern digital marketing stack. Experience across areas such as: Google Ads, Meta Ads, GA4, Google Tag Manager, CRM, Salesforce, Marketing Automation, Email Marketing, Analytics, Dashboards, Attribution, Audience Segmentation, CRO. Strong Salesforce and CRM experience would be a major advantage.

Who we’re looking for

You’ll probably have around 4+ years of digital marketing experience, with a significant part of that gained inside a digital or performance agency. This is essential for our client, so please keep it in mind before applying.

You’ll be someone who:

Loves performance marketing and optimisation

Is highly analytical but still understands creative

Can get into the platforms and execute, not just brief agencies

Understands CPL, CAC, conversion rates, ROAS and commercial outcomes

Enjoys experimenting and testing ideas

Understands how paid media, CRM, lifecycle and sales fit together

Is curious about new marketing technology, automation and AI

Wants more ownership than agency life sometimes allows
