Job summary

Moonee Valley City Council is seeking a Digital Learning and Programs Librarian to lead innovative digital learning and technology programs. You will shape a coordinated approach to digital learning across the library service and collaborate with partners to deliver engaging experiences.

You will also provide high-quality customer service and take on shift supervision, supporting staff and ensuring smooth daily operations of library services.

Qualifications

• An approved library qualification with professional ALIA eligibility is required.
• Experience delivering and evaluating learning programs for diverse communities.
• Strong knowledge of digital technologies and online resources.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver and evaluate digital learning and technology programs for the community.
• Develop Makerspace technology programs and lending collections.
• Identify trends and gaps in digital learning and create engaging programs.
• Contribute to coordinated delivery of digital programs across Library & Learning.
• Build partnerships with internal/external providers to deliver programs.
• Provide digital literacy support to library users and assist with devices and apps.
• Provide leadership and supervision as customer service shift supervisor.
• Train staff and contribute to service planning and improvements.
• Prepare reports on programs and advise on future planning.
• Deliver proactive, customer-focused library service across locations as needed.
