Job summary

Liftek Australia Pty Ltd in Griffith and Wagga Wagga are seeking experienced Diesel Motor Mechanics to join our workshop teams. You will diagnose faults, service and repair diesel-powered machinery including forklifts, telehandlers and related equipment.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Diesel/Heavy Vehicle/Agricultural Mechanic or equivalent.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing diesel-powered machinery.
• Ability to read technical manuals and use diagnostic equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults in diesel-powered machinery.
• Perform servicing, preventative maintenance and scheduled repairs.
• Repair and overhaul diesel engines, transmissions, fuel systems and hydraulic systems.
• Conduct fault finding using computer diagnostic equipment and technical manuals.
• Service and repair forklifts, telehandlers, agricultural machinery, scissor lifts and associated equipment.
• Perform breakdown repairs and field service work as required.
• Complete maintenance reports, inspection records and job documentation.
• Ensure machinery is operating safely and efficiently in accordance with manufacturer specifications.

Key Duties

• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults in diesel-powered machinery.

Essential Requirements

• Relevant trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Agricultural Mechanic or equivalent.

• Demonstrated experience diagnosing and repairing diesel-powered machinery.

• Ability to read technical manuals and utilise diagnostic equipment.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable

• Forklift licence.

• Experience working with Toyota Material Handling, Manitou, JLG, agricultural or earthmoving equipment.

• Hydraulic and electrical diagnostic experience.

Employment Conditions
