DfMA Project Engineer: Modular Construction Lead

Job summary

Built Living, a joint venture by Built and Wesfarmers, seeks a Project Engineer to coordinate the move from coordinated design to manufacture, logistics and site install. You will maintain project documentation, manage approvals and support safe, quality‑assured installation of prefabricated components.

In this role you will act as a central coordination point between project teams and the Advanced Manufacturing Facility in Neerabup, ensuring design information is complete and manufacturing

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial construction engineering on DfMA/modular projects.
• Experience coordinating technical documentation, drawing reviews, RFIs, submittals and approval workflows.
• Experience with precast concrete, modular construction or offsite manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of the relationship between design information, manufacturing requirements and site installation.
• Project coordination experience within construction or DfMA-related environments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities across design, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics and site installation.
• Maintain an integrated view of deliverables, dependencies and key decision dates.
• Establish repeatable coordination processes for future DfMA projects.
• Coordinate design deliverables to support manufacturing-ready models and drawings.
• Monitor design information against freeze dates and manufacturing milestones.
• Facilitate coordination between architects, engineers, consultants and manufacturing teams.
• Release approved information to manufacturing and maintain a readiness tracker.
• Assist with prototypes, samples, and first-off inspections when required.
• Support alignment between contractual requirements, design specs and factory quality docs.
• Identify mismatches between design intent and manufacturing capability before production.
• Participate in manufacturing planning and readiness meetings.
