Job summary

Zeal Personnel is seeking experienced Dewatering Technicians and Polywelders for Kalgoorlie projects. You will install, commission and maintain dewatering systems, pump packages and HDPE pipelines across local and remote mining sites.

Roles offer 2/1 FIFO or Kalgoorlie local residency options with full-time, project-based assignments and opportunities for upskilling within a leading national provider of labour hire solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience with dewatering systems, heavy pumps or HDPE polywelding.
• Polywelding Certification (Butt Fusion & Electrofusion) is required.
• Current Australian C-Class Driver's Licence (HR preferred).
• Construction Safety Induction (White Card).
• Strong commitment to site WHS procedures, Take 5s and JHAs.

Responsibilities

• Dewatering: Install, test, and maintain diesel and electric submersible pump packages.
• Dewatering: Conduct field troubleshooting, routine servicing, and pump diagnostics.
• Dewatering: Assist with site setup, hydro-mining operations, and water transfer systems.
• Polywelding: Perform butt fusion and electrofusion welding on HDPE pipe networks.
• Polywelding: Execute pipe fabrication, flange connections, and spool installations.
• Polywelding: Conduct QA/QC pressure testing and pipe alignment to engineering specs.

About the Role

Our client is seeking experienced Dewatering Technicians and Polywelders to join our Kalgoorlie team. You will be responsible for installing, commissioning, and maintaining dewatering systems, pump packages, and high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipelines across local and remote mining sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Dewatering:
  • Install, test, and maintain diesel and electric submersible pump packages.
  • Conduct field troubleshooting, routine servicing, and pump diagnostics.
  • Assist with site setup, hydro-mining operations, and water transfer systems.
• Polywelding:
  • Perform butt fusion and electrofusion welding on HDPE pipe networks.

• Desirable:
  • High Risk Work Licences (Forklift, Working at Heights, Confined Space).
  • Mechanical trade background or previous WA mine site experience.
