Job summary

Persistent is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to design and enhance observability for the Liquorland platform in Melbourne. This full-time, hybrid role focuses on building robust monitoring and reliability practices within the squad.

With 8–12 years of experience, you will work hands-on with Azure and Azure DevOps and contribute to cloud migration efforts, using Splunk and AppDynamics for monitoring. Opportunities for education and growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Strong SRE background with enterprise observability experience
• Hands-on with Azure and Azure DevOps
• Experience in cloud migration programmes

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a new observability dashboard for the Liquorland platform
• Define and uplift the monitoring approach for APIM, including health, performance, and availability views
• Build and maintain log analytics capability to support operational insight and troubleshooting
• Support platform migration activities from an observability and reliability perspective
• Work with monitoring tooling including Splunk and AppDynamics
• Define and implement SLOs and associated alerting frameworks
• Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to embed reliability practices across the squad
• Strong SRE background with proven experience establishing observability capability in enterprise environments
• Hands-on experience with Azure and Azure DevOps
• Exposure to cloud migration programmes
