Job summary

Datacom is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer / Site Reliability Engineer to join a high-performance Operations team. The role focuses on improving stability, scalability, and maintainability of customer-facing systems, with hybrid work across Australian offices.

You will build elegant, repeatable solutions and collaborate with Datacom’s global technical specialists to drive continuous improvement. Applicants should be an Australian citizen eligible for NV1 security clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and CI/CD
• Strong background in automation and configuration management
• Ability to design scalable, resilient platform solutions

Responsibilities

• Establishing and maintaining operational excellence with automation across technologies
• OS deployment, configuration, and security hardening
• Install and configure middleware platforms
• Deploy to VMware and VMware Cloud on AWS
• Code deployment and platform lifecycle management
• Reporting for audit and compliance requirements
• Ensure high availability through change and release processes
• Customer engagement through technical collaboration and solution design
