Job summary

UNSW is seeking a Development Project Officer to join the Development team at Kensington Campus in Australia. The role focuses on coordinating donor communications, engagement activities and fundraising operations to strengthen donor relationships.

Reporting to the Head of Development, you will manage multiple projects, work independently and with academic staff, and support fundraising strategy across faculties. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract on a full-time basis.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications and relevant experience, or an equivalent combination.
• Exceptional written communications skills for donor materials and executive briefings.
• Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships and influence stakeholders.
• Experience using CRM systems such as Raiser's Edge to maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality donor communications and materials in collaboration with colleagues and academic staff.
• Prepare clear internal briefings, talking points and background materials for donor engagement by Development Managers and senior stakeholders.
• Coordinate stewardship and engagement activities across portfolios, including reporting and donor visits.
• Support fundraising operations, CRM records, reporting and donor research.
• Independently manage assigned projects with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with Heads of Development to coordinate engagement activities and maximise fundraising effectiveness.
