Bellingen Shire Council is seeking a qualified planning professional on a maximum term full-time basis for 12 months as parental leave relief. You will assess and process development applications, provide planning advice to the community and industry, and help improve assessment processes, working within NSW planning and environmental legislation.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Planning or related discipline.
• Eligibility for membership of the Planning Institute of Australia.
• Experience in development assessment and NSW planning/environment legislation.

Responsibilities

• Assess and process development applications per legislation and policies.
• Provide professional planning advice to the community, industry and staff.
• Contribute to improvement of development assessment processes.
