The Upper Hunter Shire Council is seeking a Development Assessment Planner for a 12-month temporary full-time contract (35 hours per week). You’ll assess development applications, provide advice, and coordinate with consultants and agencies to deliver practical planning solutions.

The role includes contributing to environmental compliance, inspections and reporting, and requires NSW planning knowledge, strong communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualificações

• Extensive experience or understanding of the development assessment process.
• Understanding NSW planning and environmental legislation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering sound strategic and statutory planning advice.
• Experience preparing and presenting reports.
• Current unrestricted drivers licence.

Responsabilidades

• Assess development applications and provide clear advice to applicants and colleagues.
• Work with consultants, government agencies and the community to find practical planning solutions.
• Contribute to environmental compliance work, inspections and reporting.
• Support strategic and statutory planning matters as part of project delivery.
• Prepare and present planning reports to the team and stakeholders.
