Job summary

Council on the lower North Shore is seeking two motivated Development Compliance Officers to join our team. You will provide advice to the public and staff on development, building compliance and unauthorised works, and support the Building/Development Compliance area.

The roles will respond to service requests such as illegal building works, illegal land users and swimming pool safety, with duties including assisting the Principal Building Surveyor with Building Information Certificates and

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Building Surveying or currently enrolled or relevant experience.
• Current C Class Driver Licence.
• Basic working knowledge of Environmental Planning and Assessment Act and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice to the public and staff on development, building compliance and unauthorised works.
• Respond to service requests including illegal building works, illegal land users and swimming pool safety.
• Assist the Principal Building Surveyor with Building Information Certificates and Annual Fire Safety Statements.
