PEP Transport in Brisbane, Australia, is seeking a seasoned software developer to collaborate with the CTO, coordinate with offshore teams, and deliver design solutions that satisfy business requirements.

You will guide technical direction, review code, turn product requirements into technical plans, and ensure the health and reliability of the codebase across web, desktop and mobile platforms. The role involves gathering requirements and creating design documents to support business processes.

Formación

• 3-5+ years of experience in software development and delivering solutions.
• Strong skills in software development and encompassing technologies.
• Experience in software and database design and architecture.
• Experience implementing solutions on multi-mode platforms such as web, desktop and mobile.
• Solid understanding of technology and development methodologies and enterprise-level systems.

Responsabilidades

• Guide technical direction, make architectural and design decisions, set coding standards, and ensure the team builds things right.
• Review code, answer technical questions, and keep developers on track.
• Turn product requirements into technical plans and explain details to non-technical stakeholders.
• Own the technical health of the codebase: reviews, testing practices, and reliability.

About the role

The primary purpose of this position is to work with the CTO and provide development effort and coordinate with various off‑shore development teams. The position will require confident technical acumen and the ability to provide design solutions for complex problems and guide technical teams to develop solutions that satisfy business requirements. The position will also be involved in day‑to‑day activities involving the business and gathering requirements, understanding and developing processes to improve business efficiencies.

• Turn product requirements into technical plans, and explain technical details to non‑technical stakeholders
• Own the technical health of the codebase: code reviews, testing practices, technical debt decisions, and system reliability
• Communicate and report on technical activities to stakeholders and the CTO
• Provide reports and updates in a timely manner
• Coordinate with stakeholders to implement and deploy technical solutions

About you

• 3-5+ years of experience
• Strong skills in software development and encompassing technologies
• Experience in software and database design and architecture
• Experience implementing solutions on multi‑mode platforms such as web, desktop and mobile environments
• Strong background knowledge on technology and development methodologies, experience working on enterprise‑level systems
• Proficiency in .Net Platform (C#, asp.net)
• Proficiency in Database technologies (SQL, MSSQL)
• Ability to translate activities to processes and business requirements
• Ability to develop metrics to monitor and measure process performance
