Job summary

Talent Acquisition Group in Melbourne seeks a reliable Customer Service / Despatch Support representative for casual, shift-based work at Tullamarine. You will handle inbound calls, bookings, and assist the Despatch Team with routing and driver coordination.

The role requires a strong customer service background, familiarity with Melbourne suburbs and regional Victoria, and the ability to work 2:00pm–10:00pm, Monday to Friday, with penalties impacting pay.

About the Role

This role will be responsible for both Customer Service and providing support to the Despatch Team. Ideally, we are seeking someone with a strong customer service background, logistics experience, and a good knowledge of Melbourne metropolitan suburbs and regional Victoria.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service Responsibilities

• Handle inbound calls and enter bookings.
• Meet customer service KPIs and service targets.
• Resolve customer enquiries and complaints professionally.
• Escalate complex issues when required.
• Monitor call queues and elevate delays.
• Liaise with Operations to ensure efficient service.
• Manage and respond to customer enquiries via inbox.
• Obtain and update Proof of Deliveries (PODs).
• Maintain customer task lists and records.
• Assist with reporting and administration.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and company values

Despatch Support Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor the courier fleet.
• Allocate and schedule jobs efficiently.
• Respond to driver, customer and staff enquiries.
• Assist with delivery times, addresses, PODs and charges.
• Use knowledge of local areas to assist with routing.
• Monitor driver performance and service levels.
• Problem-solve and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Ensure drivers and contractors follow safe work procedures.
• Promote a safe, respectful and compliant workplace.
