Job summary

Prima Fresh is seeking a Despatch and Receivals Clerk to support logistics and daily packing shed operations at our Tatura site in Victoria, Australia. The role blends despatch duties with packing shed processes and requires attention to accuracy and efficiency.

The successful candidate will help count and weigh shipments, label incoming stock, operate pallet handling equipment, and keep inventory records up to date to maintain smooth operations.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years' experience as a Despatch and Receivals Clerk.

Responsibilities

• Count, weigh or measure items of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Examine, unpack and label incoming shipments; record shortages and reject damaged items.
• Operate lift truck or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving area to storage area.
• Regularly enter inventory data into tracking database/software on a timely basis.
• Perform regular material audits to ensure that material is undamaged and maintained neatly.
• Sort, count, identify, verify and track all material by utilizing the tracking database/software.
• Verify, track & process the return of returnable items such as pallets and crates to ensure costs are minimised.

Despatch and Receivals Clerk reporting to the Logistics & Supply Chain Manager. This role offers a unique opportunity to blend typical despatch responsibilities with in-depth involvement in packing shed operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the logistics and daily packing shed operation.

Key responsibilities

• Count, weigh or measure items of incoming and outgoing shipments
• Examine, unpack and label incoming shipments; record shortages and reject damaged items

About you

• Minimum 1-2 years' experience as a Despatch and Receivals Clerk
• Basic understanding of unloading and loading incoming and outgoing materials
• Demonstrated ability to manage time so that all matters are dealt with according to plans and timelines
• Basic understanding in Outlook and Microsoft Excel
