Job summary

XPT Software Australia PTY Ltd is seeking a Level 2 Desktop Support SME to ensure a healthy end-user environment and seamless IT operations. The role focuses on hands-on troubleshooting, incident and change management, and proactive system health monitoring across Windows-based environments.

The candidate will work with SCCM/Intune, Active Directory, Group Policy, and ITSM tools to maintain performance, create reports, and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Strong Windows troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of SCCM / Intune technology and their trends.
• Strong experience with Active Directory Services, including Group Policy and related services.
• Experience providing Incident and Change support for Windows servers in a 24x7 service environment.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale multi-domain Windows environments across multi-hosted platforms.
• Ability to use monitoring tools to oversee Windows systems within defined support operations area.
• Ability to create reports to perform capacity analysis and troubleshoot issues proactively.
• Installation, assessment, and testing of desktop software applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide incident and change support for Windows servers in a 24x7 service organization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Windows OS, AD, and Group Policy issues.
• Monitor and maintain enterprise Windows environments across multiple domains.
• Create and use reports for capacity planning and proactive issue resolution.
• Install and validate desktop software applications and peripheral devices.
• Develop and share knowledge with junior engineers and update SOPs.
