Job summary

Hinchen Recruitment Group partners with an international insurance leader to expand their Desktop Home Assessing team in NSW. The role is full-time and based in Lidcombe office, focusing on end-to-end assessment of allocated claims, including cause, scope, costs and restoration approaches.

You will review reports and photos virtually, produce detailed reports, manage timelines and communicate with customers, builders and authorities. Training and development are offered in a vibrant culture.

Qualifications

• Residential building/renovation experience required.
• Experience with estimations, quotes, and scope of works in insurance/building.
• Proficient with computer software systems.

Responsibilities

We're excited to partner with an international Insurance leader in growth - today they are seeking to expand their high performing Desktop Home Assessing teams in Qld Vic NSW & SA. Our customer is one of Australia's fastest-growing insurance industry disruptors with 4000+ FTE. Based full time in their Lidcombe office, you will manage the end-to-end assessment of allocated insurance claims, focusing on cause, scope, costs, and the best approach for property restoration.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Virtually review reports and photos to validate claimed event-related damage and repair costs, determine damage causation
• Produce detailed reports on cause, coverage, damage & repair methods
• Review scope of works, ensuring cost-effective and timely solutions
• Communicate damage and repair schedules with customers
• Liaise with local authorities & third-party building surveyors for compliance

About You:

• Residential building/renovation experience is required - you don't have to be trade certified, but you do have to confident in your building/renovation knowledge
• Exposure to estimations, quotes, and scope of works (insurance/building industry)
• Proficient in computer software systems
• Strong stakeholder management (customers, builders, suppliers)
• Exceptional time management & organizational skills
• Ability to self-manage & prioritize tasks effectively
