Job summary

ROUSSOS Recruitment is partnering with an established national design business to appoint a senior Interior Designer in their Adelaide studio. You will lead commercial interior projects, engage with clients early, and guide a team of designers through the full design process.

There is scope to consider Design Manager or Design Director level depending on experience, with flexibility around working arrangements including a potential 4-day week and flexible start/finish times.

Qualifications

• 7+ years' commercial interior design experience, with 10+ years highly regarded.
• Proven ability to lead projects across all phases of design and delivery.
• AutoCAD skills desirable; Advanced Revit capability and strong design documentation skills essential
• Strong concept design, space planning and technical capability
• Confidence managing clients, consultants and broader project stakeholders
• Experience reviewing documentation and providing design and technical QA
• A collaborative, approachable style and genuine willingness to mentor others

Responsibilities

• Leading interior design projects across all phases, from concept through to delivery
• Managing key client relationships, presentations, workshops and design discussions
• Driving concept development, space planning and overall design outcomes
• Overseeing documentation and providing QA across the broader interiors team
• Coordinating consultants, stakeholders, project programmes and deliverables
• Mentoring and supporting junior and intermediate designers

The Opportunity

ROUSSOS Recruitment is exclusively partnering with an established national design business to appoint a senior design professional within its Adelaide studio.

Working across commercial interiors, including workplace, government and other public and private-sector environments, the studio delivers a diverse range of design-led projects for established clients.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Senior Interior Designer who wants to take greater ownership of projects, clients and team development. You will work closely with a passionate interiors team, leading projects through the full design process while providing guidance and quality oversight to junior and intermediate designers.

Importantly, there is flexibility around how the role is shaped for the right person. While the position may suit an established Senior Interior Designer, there is scope to consider appointment at Design Manager or potentially Design Director level depending on experience.

The business can also offer flexibility around working arrangements, including consideration of a 4-day week and flexible start and finish times.

The Role
