Job summary

Macquarie seeks a Design lead for Design Systems to own strategy, governance, and operations across a multi‑platform design system. You will directly manage the Design System team and partner with executive product, brand, and engineering stakeholders to scale the design infrastructure.

You will define the multi‑year roadmap, establish governance, and drive the value proposition of the system across native iOS, Android, and web.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years in digital product design, with multi-platform system experience.
• Track record as people manager coaching senior/lead developers.
• Mastery of modern design system tooling and Figma architectures.
• Ability to align brand and product priorities across layers of leadership.
• Deep fluency in native mobile and responsive web conventions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Design System discipline, set multi-year strategy and roadmap.
• Mentor the Design System team and partner with product, brand and engineering leaders.
• Define governance and contribution models to enable squads safely.
• Ensure parity between design tokens, Figma libraries and production code repos.
• Collaborate with executive stakeholders to scale the design infrastructure.
