Job summary

ACCIONA Energía in Western Australia seeks an experienced Design Manager, Transmission, to lead planning, coordination and delivery of transmission line and substation designs across HV and MV infrastructure. You will oversee design inputs from inception through delivery, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and clients to ensure technical excellence.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 10+ years in HV transmission design, with strong IEC/IEEE/AS/NZS standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering is required.
• 10+ years leading HV transmission design from concept to detail.
• Strong knowledge of IEC, IEEE and AS/NZS standards.
• Able to complete pre-employment medical and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Lead transmission line and substation design from concept to detail.
• Manage design interfaces across HV and MV infrastructure.
• Drive constructability, systems integration and technical governance.
• Oversee cost, schedule, design changes and risk using CPI, SPI and EVM.
• Lead SiD, HAZID/HAZOP and CoM reviews and deliverables.
• Mentor junior engineers and build internal design capability.
• Manage external consultants and cross-functional communication.
